Welcome to our community, our city, our house, the Hamilton House. Built in the 1800s the Hamilton House was saved by the residents of Whitewater from being torn down during the late 1980s. With the help of its city, residents, and area businesses, the Hamilton House was saved and restored to its historical charm and beauty.
Through the years, the Hamilton House was blessed with wonderful, caring, and inspiring innkeepers. It is now my turn to protect, guard, manage, and keep the Inn. Born and raised in upstate New York, as was Dr James Trippe, who originally purchased the land in 1841, I frequently visited friends in Whitewater, fell in love with the area and well let's just say the rest is history. For generations my family has always worked, in some capacity, in the hospitality industry. As a 1984 graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, I am passionate about the art and science of food.
Your stay at the Hamilton House includes a full creative gourmet breakfast inspired by different regions of the world, selections such as Mediterranean Style Eggs Benedict, Mini Quiches, Cheese Souffles, Sweet Orange Maple Ham, Chai Spiced Pear Bread, and Lemon Scones, For a lighter start to your day, try one our creative refreshing smoothies. If you are going hiking on the Ice Age trail or challenging yourself to mountain biking in the Kettle Moraine, I will be happy to prepare a delicious wholesome picnic lunch for your adventure. Come sit in the grand parlor and join us for complementary tastings of wine from area wineries and, of course paired with Wisconsin cheeses.
Whether you're celebrating something special or just want to get away for a weekend "be our guest" and let me have the privilege of hosting you as I become the next guardian and keeper of the Hamilton House.
