Variety of Artistic Activities offered around Whitewater the Weekend of July 10th. 

Historic House Tour- Delavan, Wisconsin
July 10^th and 11^th   1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
 
Delavan Historical Society is offering tours of the Allyn Home and Allyn Mansion to help raise funds to save the oldest temperance house in Wisconsin.  The magnificently restored Allyn Mansion is featured in the book, Wisconsin’s Own: Twenty Remarkable Homes.  http://delavanhistory.org/

A Garden Stroll and Ice Cream Social- Whitewater, Wisconsin
July 11^th   1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

The Local Federation of Woman’s Clubs is hosting A Garden Stroll and Ice Cream Social.  Stroll through seven gardens throughout Whitewater followed by a Social at the Basset House with ice cream and pie.  All proceeds from this event go to the preservation of the Bassett House. Purchase tickets at the garden sites or in advance at:  McCullough’s Pharmacy, First Citizens State Bank, Commercial Bank, Associated Bank and the SweetSpot. 

Also, during this time the Cultural Arts Center in conjunction with the Women’s Clubs is showcasing Art of the Flower an art competition and exhibit that will recognize and promote excellence in floral art. During this time the Cultural Arts Center will be giving out free bags of wildflower seeds donated by “Prairie” Bob of Prairie Seed Source.

Enjoy sweet treats and beverages prior to watching a staged reading by Charles “Skip” and Carolyn Grove at the Cultural Arts Center.  Your $20 donation will go to help preserve the tradition of Summer Theatre at UW-WW

July 11^th   10:00 to 4:00 p.m.
$3 admission fee

Whitewater’s Stone Mill Quilt Guild will hold their 2010 Quilt Show in the Hamilton Room of the James R. Connor University Center on the campus of UWW. Stop in and see the quilts and shop at one of the vendor booths featuring fabric, patterns, quilt kits and much more.  Rows upon rows of quilts with a variety of patterns will be hung on display.

A sampling of Guild Member’s quilts will be featured in a show at the Fiskum Art Gallery in the University Center July 8^th through July 30^th.
